A swish new Edinburgh restaurant with spectacular views of the Water of Leith has opened on the site of former public toilets.
The Tollhouse, ran by the Dine team who already have two Edinburgh venues, have recently opened their third and it may be one of the most aesthetically pleasing dining experiences the capital has to offer.
The eatery, located in Canonmills, has been converted from a derelict public toilets building into a fine dining experience with views of the Water of Leith and even has its own outdoor smokehouse.

In 2019 plans were proposed for the conversion of the building into a restaurant and at the start of the October, the team announced that the grand project was finally complete via an Instagram post.
They said: "We are finalising the finishing touches and are delighted to announce we open our doors on Saturday 1st October and join the cannon mills community! To book your lunch or dinner with us, you can visit our website www.Tollhouse.scot or by calling us. we look forward to welcoming you soon."
The Dine team have expanded following the success of their two Edinburgh venues at Murrayfield and Cambridge Street, just off Lothian Road. On the Tollhouse' website, they say their menus have been created by an award-winning kitchen team.
They say: "The Tollhouse is a business at the heart of the community, sourcing quality, sustainable produce, ingredients whilst supporting local butchers, fishmongers and grocers.
"With menus created by our award-winning kitchen team led by Georgios Alexiou working closely with Group Chef Martin Orr and Michelin starred co-owner Stuart Muir.
"Inspired by the ever-changing seasons our menus will be updated every two weeks to take advantage of seasonal variations."
The stunning terrace looks out onto the attractive Water of Leith below, with the popular river also inspiring a special cocktail menu dedicated to the historic attraction.
