‘Swiftie’ explains every coincidence between Taylor Swift’s lyrics, romance with Travis Kelce

Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce has brought a new audience to the NFL after sparking a relationship with 12-time Grammy-winning musical artist Taylor Swift. Since Swift’s attendance at Kansas City’s Week 2 matchup against the Chicago Bears, her devoted fans, the so-called “Swifties,” have been monitoring the Chiefs’ progress and making notes on Kelce’s performances in particular.

With this new magnifying glass on Kansas City, novel perspectives on the game of football, Chiefs stars, and the drama of the NFL season have become the norm across the internet as newly-initiated fans soak up all the action in real-time.

One “Swiftie” on Twitter, user @BetttysCardigan, took to the beleaguered social media platform to document every coincidence between Swift’s lyrics and her budding romance with Kansas City’s All-Pro tight end.

Check out some of the additions to her growing list below to determine for yourself whether these are purely serendipitous or a sign that the celebrity relationship was written in the stars:

The legendary thread begins with a thesis

An exercise in numerology from Swift's "Mary's Song"

A play on Travis Kelce's Instagram name, "killatrav" from Swift's "...Ready For It?"

Swift's direct reference to dating "The boy on the football team" from "Fifteen (Taylor's Version)"

Swift's direct reference to "arrowheads" and "home" from her song "Cornelia Street"

A reference to "Wednesday" on Swift's "Begin Again (Taylor's Version)" and Kelce's New Heights podcast

Swift's song "The Archer," which combines well with one of Kelce's signature celebrations

This one from Swift's "Stay, Stay, Stay (Taylor's Version)" is self explainatory

A line about high heels from Swift's "Begin Again (Taylor's Version)" combined with her appearance with Kelce at a Saturday Night Live afterparty

Swift's reference to watching football at a bar on "Mean (Taylor's Version)" and her iconic picture with Donna Kelce

Swift's reference to friendship bracelets on "You're On Your Own Kid", where the romance started

Swift's reference to "karma is the guy on the [big] screen" where Kelce (and Taylor) can often be seen

Another match-made-in-heaven line from Swift's "Blank Space"

This one might be more humorous than anything, but still counts

This reference to "big reputation" on Swift's "End Game"

This coincidental line from Swift's "The Very First Night (Taylor's Version)" paired with a picture of her in one of Kelce's classic cars

This reference to a pair of "masterminds" from Swift's "Mastermind"

Swift may have predicted her relationship with Kelce on this line from "Invisible String"

Swift's reference to trophies and champions from her song "Willow"
