Swapping Loafers for Cool Boat Shoes Is Extremely High on Our Seasonal Style Agenda

As much as we're super psyched for spring, its arrival exponentially increases our to-do list. There's all the seasonal cleaning that accompanies the shift, including making extra room in our closets for some new essentials. That even applies to our shoe racks, although we're finding it hard to part with all of our amazing boots. Even if we're simply just packing them away for next fall. Picking up spring footwear helps ease the pain, however. Especially boat shoes.

The classic silhouette is like a loafer and a moccasin got together and created stylish offspring. The canvas or leather shoes boast rubber soles to prevent slipping on slippery boat decks. Hence the name. Of course, you don't have to own a boat or known someone who owns a vessel, either. The footwear goes great with any spring-focused ensemble. Sport with a T-shirt, preferably designer, and jeans. Or use a pair to cap off a warmer weather-worthy midi dress. As we edge into summer, you can keep them in rotation. Try styling them with a tank top and cutoffs or a sultry slip dress.
