The couple behind one of Swansea's most well-known cafe and catering businesses have decided to hang up their aprons after a quarter of a century.
Starvin' Jacks was a popular destination in the city centre for 20 years where it was known as much for the friendliness of the staff as for its jacket potatoes, baguettes, and coffee. In 2018 the Portland Street cafe closed its doors and the business moved to a unit on the Enterprise Zone where it expanded the catering side of the operation.
But now owners Kathryn and Nigel Evans have decided to call it a day and retire this summer. The couple said they have "loved and flourished in" the long hours and hands-on nature of cafe life but have decided to retire and spend more time with their family.
