Russell Martin revealed Swansea City are "well advanced" in discussions with multiple January transfer window targets.
The Swans are determined to bolster their squad options next month, with chief executive Julian Winter recently stating they plan to conduct business in the winter window.
"As a club we are aiming to be active in the window, with conversations around what we might like to do having begun a while ago," he said on Christmas Eve. "When one transfer window ends, planning for the next one begins immediately.

"Collectively, however, we will be working hard to improve the squad and look ahead to the second half of the season. But one thing is for certain, we will continue to do it our way; The Swansea Way."
It's understood Swansea are intent on recruiting at least one wing-back in January while they have also explored the option of adding to their attack. And with just one more match to play ahead of the window, Martin has confirmed the Swans are well down the line in their pursuit of some targets.
"January is never simple," he said. "I think we're well advanced in talking to people. We now need to act upon that and try to action that really quickly.
"I thought we looked a real threat going forward today (against Reading) which was good, it was better than the Norwich game and more like the last half an hour against Coventry.
"What we need still doesn't change. We should score more goals than we do. How we've conceded as many as we have is beyond me.
"We know what we need, we know what's going to help us. Now it's about trying to get it done as quickly as possible, but it's never straightforward is it, January."
A number of fringe players could depart in January, with Brandon Cooper among those to attract plenty of loan interest from clubs lower down the English Football League pyramid.
Nathanael Ogbeta and Azeem Abdulai could also leave south Wales on a temporary basis in January, although Martin admits Cooper - who is yet to play for the Swans this term - is likely to depart early on in the opening month of 2023.
"Brandon Cooper, we've had plenty of interest," he added. "I think an offer will come in very soon for Brandon. On the other guys I'm not too sure at the moment, I've not spoken to Josh [Marsh] since just before Christmas."
Swansea conclude their 2022 schedule against Watford on Friday night. Kick-off at the Swansea.com Stadium is at 7:45pm.
