Swansea City vs Sheffield United player ratings as risk-taker punished and others find it tough going

ANDY FISHER 5

Comfortable in possession early on but couldn't get near Sander Berge's strike. A few nervy moments after that and was helpless with Jack Robinson's goal.

KYLE NAUGHTON 5

Back in the starting line-up against his former club, Naughton started well but was swiftly pegged back as the Blades got on top. Took a huge risk late on and was punished as Oli McBurnie tapped home.

BEN CABANGO 5

Made stacks of clearances and adopted a no-nonsense approach when needed but was booked in the second-half and spurned a great chance with a header.

NATHAN WOOD 5

As with Cabango, some decent moments, but some sloppy ones too. Also yellow carded.

RYAN MANNING 5

Lively in the opening stages but, as with others, got pushed back. Will be disappointed not to have done better in the build-up to the Blades' opener. Worked hard defensively, making plenty of tackles and had a good spell in attack in the second half but didn't have the end product.

MATT GRIMES 5

Always showed for the ball when under pressure but found the going tough at times as the hosts got all over him.

JAY FULTON 5

Making his 200th appearance for the club, Fulton started well, winning tackles and playing a fine ball in the build-up to a chance for Joel Piroe. But it got tougher for the Scot who grew increasingly frustrated. Booked and then withdrawn.

OLIVIER NTCHAM 5

Good play in the build-up to Piroe's early chance but found the going tougher after that. Decent flurry in attack before being subbed.

OLLIE COOPER 5

A few good runs at the Sheffield United defence but couldn't get enough of the ball in dangerous areas. Unable to beat Wes Foderingham with a good chance in the second half. Did his defensive duties, making some timely challenges.

JOEL PIROE 5

Tested Wes Foderingham early on but had to do a lot of chasing when the Blades had prolonged periods of pressure. Good through ball to see up Cooper.

LIAM CULLEN 5

Worked hard but couldn't give the Blades' defence anything to worry about. A speculative overhead kick in the first half was exciting as it got.

Subs

Morgan Whittaker (for Cullen) - Didn't get enough of the ball, and when he did, nothing came off. 5

Luke Cundle (for Ntcham) - A good cameo from the Wolves loanee whose passing range kept Swansea on the front foot after his introduction. 6 STAR MAN

Joe Allen (for Fulton) - Damage was long done by the time he came on. N/A
