Bryan linked
Swansea City have been linked with a move for Fulham's Joe Bryan.
Russell Martin is determined to bolster his left-back options at present, with Ryan Manning set to leave the Swansea.com Stadium when his contract expires in the summer.
And our sister title BristolLive report that Swansea are one of a number of Championship clubs who are exploring the option of recruiting Bryan.
The 29-year-old has spent the duration of the campaign on loan at Nice, although he has been restricted to just six Ligue 1 appearances for the French club.
With Bryan's Fulham contract due to end following the conclusion of the current season, a host of clubs have been put on red alert.
Bristol City are keen on re-signing their academy product having sold him to the Cottagers in 2018 while Blackburn Rovers, Millwall, Stoke City, Cardiff City and the Swans are among others who are keeping a close eye on the defender.
Tate reveals United legend's role in transfer
Alan Tate revealed Ryan Giggs played a pivotal role in his first loan move from Manchester United to Swansea.
The defender joined the Swans in 2002 and played a pivotal role as the club staved off relegation from the Football League during a season which ended with a famous 4-2 win over Hull City.
And Tate - who joined Swansea on a permanent basis in 2004 after a second loan stint in south Wales from the Red Devils - revealed a 30-minute conversation with Giggs and Brian Flynn convinced him to make the move to the Vetch Field.
“Flynny got Ryan Giggs to convince me,” Tate told the club website.
“We’d had a game on the Thursday night with the United reserves, so Friday was always a recovery day if you weren’t training.
“If the first team were out training, you were allowed to go and use the facilities, so I’d gone in to use the gym.
“I was sat in an ice bath – there were a few of us in there – and Giggsy came down and said ‘Tatey, get changed and come upstairs with me.’
“I didn’t know what was happening. I was thinking I might be in trouble because this had never happened to me before.
“I jumped out of the ice bath, got changed and went upstairs.
“It’s me, Giggsy and Brian Flynn sat at a table and Flynny said to Giggsy: ‘Ryan, tell him he should come and play for me.’
“So, we’re having this conversation. Within 30 minutes of sitting at this dinner table, Flynny had convinced me to sign for Swansea on loan, took me back to my digs to get my suitcase packed, and then took me to a train station and put me on the train because he was staying up in Burnley.”

Corberan vows to fight
Carlos Corberan has vowed to fight until the death as West Brom bid to clinch a Championship play-off spot on the final day of the season.
The Spaniard replaced Steve Bruce as boss at the Hawthorns Stadium with the Baggies sitting 23rd in the league table after a run of just two wins in 16 matches.
However, he has guided the club to the brink of the top six, although West Brom must beat Swansea on the final day of the regular season on Monday to stand any chance of being involved in the play-offs.
They also need Millwall and Sunderland to drop points against Blackburn Rovers and Preston North End respectively, a sequence of results that means they are currently 11/2 outsiders to extend their campaign. But while boss Corberan accepts Swansea - who are unbeaten in eight games - will present a difficult challenge, the 40-year-old says his side must continue to battle for promotion while they are still mathematically in the running.
"We have one game more, with three points in front of us, a very challenging three points because I know Swansea very well," he told the Birmingham Mail.
"But with possibilities in life - the players for me are an example, when you have just a 0.001% option to fight for something, you need to, and now we arrive with possibilities to give our best to put West Bromwich in the highest position we can put."
