Wolf rejects 'flop' tag
Former Swansea loan man Hannes Wolf has rejected accusations he is a "flop" and insists he wants to make a go of his career with Borussia Moenchengladbach amid questions over his future with the Bundesliga club.
Wolf spent the second half of last term in SA1 and made a marked impact during that time. He had signed for Borussia for 11million euros but was sent packing to get game-time under his belt.
Under a new manager in Daniel Farke this summer, Wolf had hoped to make strides but injury stuck and a shoulder operation ruled him out for three months.

Now he is ready to fight for his place. "Everything has healed perfectly, the operation was really good," he told Bild. "The healing process was very fast, faster than I expected. I've also had a couple of really good duels and really don't feel any pain anymore.
"I'm a bit lacking in game and training rhythm. But I didn't go on vacation, I did rehab here and trained with the U23s. So I started at a good level. Maybe I'm even a bit ahead of the others at the moment.
"It's not easy to judge (my progress this season). I have a good relationship with the coach. I was in a good mood in preparation, but then I got injured. So I was out for two or three weeks. It took me a while to work my way back up. Then I was one who mostly came in - and then I was injured again. If I hadn't had the injuries, I think I would have gotten more playing time.
"I don't see myself as a flop. Of course I know that a lot was paid for me, but I don't make the price. Of course, many people expected more, including myself, of course. So far it hasn't gone the way I had imagined. But I'm a fighter type. I still have every chance of being able to prove my skills.”
As for the future, the utility man says his first goal is to get more minutes and to prove he is good enough at the required level.
“I always try to step on the gas, in my opinion I always push myself to the limit, I always throw myself into it in training," he said. "It's not in my hands what comes out of it at the end, it's up to the coach to decide. I offer myself as much as possible in training.”
When asked where he'll be playing in the new year he said: "I have nothing else in mind and have heard nothing else."
Piroe: Subs were amazing
Swansea striker Joel Piroe says the impact of the substitutes at Coventry was "amazing" and showed the club's togetherness.
Russell Martin's men turned around a 3-0 scoreline to leave the east Midlands with an unlikely point. The head coach was left "hurt" by the players' attitudes before the comeback, with Piroe saying those on the field "didn't do their job well enough".
Regardless of that, the Ductman said he loved the spirit demonstrated after the hour mark.
“The subs were amazing, they made a really big impact and that’s what we want to see from each other,” he said.
“It shows the spirit from the bench, because even though the starters didn’t do their job well enough, the subs came on and were really able to make an impact.
“The result shows the team’s spirit and character. We never stopped believing and we kept sticking to the detail of what we had to do. The first 60 minutes, we need to play much better and we gave away way too many chances, but I loved the spirit that we showed to bounce back.
“We knew where the problems were, Coventry were dangerous on the counter and we gave the ball away too many times, but we always kept believing.
“I was happy to start off the comeback and I’m pleased that we were able to do what we didn’t do last game and get something out of it."
Ki Sung-yueng back at Swans
Former Swansea midfielder Ki Sung-yueng has been back in Wales taking an academy training session.
The Swansea City Academy account tweeted pictures and video of the South Korea international talking the boys through their paces.
Ki is still playing and currently plying his trade for FC Seoul in his homeland. The 33-year-old has been doing his coaching badges with the FAW and as part of that course he has been passing on his skills to Swansea's next generation.
