Christie reveals collapsed deals
Cyrus Christie has revealed he had deals fall through this summer before he signed on the dotted line for Hull City.
Christie spent the second half of last season on loan at Swansea, and with his contract expiring with Fulham, it was expected head coach Russell Martin would move to make the deal permanent.
That didn't transpire, and as the window ticked down it was the Tigers who swooped in for the the full-back. He said moves to other teams collapsed beforehand.

"On and off, I spoke with the club ages ago now," Christie said of his move to Humberside. "Firstly, it was before the new owner took over and when he was taking over there was a conversation then.
"Early on in the summer (we spoke again) and then it went quiet, I had a few other deals fall through and then some other deals that were not right for me and the family.
"We stayed in contact and then things started to progress. There was other people they had to get in first and it wasn't the main priority at that time, and then things picked up over the course of a couple of days, and then I was able to speak to the manager, Tan (Kesler) and get a feel for it, everything was brilliant - the way they spoke really aligned with me and what we wanted, the project they've got ahead - it's an exciting time, and it's something great to be a part of."
Potter in £16m Chelsea talks
Former Swansea boss Graham Potter has been given permission to speak to Chelsea over their vacant manager's post.
The Blues announced on Wednesday morning that they had parted company with Thomas Tuchel after an indifferent start to the season. It was shock news and the London club have moved quickly to identify the German's successor.
National reports state Brighton have given Potter their blessing to speak to chiefs at Stamford Bridge and a deal looks to be in the offing.
talkSPORT state Potter's release clause is £16million, which Chelsea owner Todd Boehly is seemingly ready to meet.
Swans hit by fine
Swansea and Middlesbrough have been fined £5,000 over the incident which saw Ben Cabango sent off last month.
During the clash between the two sides at the Riverside on August 27, Wales defender Cabango saw red for two bookable offences, the second of which sparked a melee on the pitch.
Cabango shoved Isaiah Jones to the ground, and the Football Association have now hit both teams with a penalty for failing to ensue their players conducted themselves in an orderly fashion.
The FA said each club "accepted the standard penalty".
