Your Swansea City headlines for Monday, January 24.
Govea on trial at Birmingham
Jordi Govea is on trial with Swansea's Championship rivals Birmingham City.
The Ecuadorian spent three seasons in the Swans' youth set-up after joining from Real Madrid in 2018.
However, he was released last summer following an injury-hit time in south Wales.
But it has emerged that Birmingham are keeping a close eye on the 22-year-old - who is a free agent.
The left-back featured in the Blues' Under-23 side's 3-2 triumph over local rivals West Brom at Wast Hills training ground on Monday afternoon.
Hull City sack McCann
Grant McCann has been relieved of his duties at Hull City, according to our sister title HullLive.
The Northern Irishman oversaw wins over Bournemouth and Blackburn Rovers in his final two matches at the helm - with the Tigers moving 10 points clear of the Championship's relegation following those impressive victories.
However, McCann - who led the Tigers to the League One title last season - has been sacked just days after the £30m takeover of the club by Acun Ilicali.
Ex-Rangers, Ajax, Trabzonspor and AZ Alkmaar star Shota Arveladze is being touted as the man to become Hull's next manager.
Should he be appointed this week, the Georgian's first game in the MKM Stadium hotseat will see him take on Russell Martin's Swansea City on Saturday.
Kick-off is at 3pm.

Frank's Fosu hint
Brentford are open to sending Tariqe Fosu out on loan this month.
The versatile attacker is yet to feature for the Bees in the Premier League, with his only appearances for the Londoners this season coming in the Carabao Cup.
Swansea attempted to sign the 26-year-old in the summer and they are bidding to further add to their attacking options this month.
“It (recovering from injury) could be a fresh start for him but it could also be that he should go out on loan,” Frank told West London Sport.
“We need to re-assess. We have 11 days left of the transfer window to see where he is. It could be a bit of both.”
However, WalesOnline have previously been told that a swoop for Fosu is unlikely this month.
Russell Martin is keen to add a left wing-back and a striker to his ranks before the 11pm transfer deadline on January 31.
Christie's relief
Cyrus Christie admits he's relieved to be playing football again following his loan move from Fulham to Swansea.
The Republic of Ireland international - whose contract with the Cottagers expires in the summer - will spend the remainder of the current campaign in south Wales.
He has featured in the games against Huddersfield Town and Preston North End, impressing on both occasions as Russell Martin's men claimed four of the six points on offer.
And the 29-year-old believes Swansea can quickly climb up the Championship table after a significant disruption to their schedule over the festive period owing to coronavirus.
“I think I've settled really well, I feel comfortable," he told SwansTV.
"It's been easy for me to come in, the lads and the manager have made it easy. It's been a smooth transition.
"From day one everyone's made me feel at home. I'm buzzing, my family's happy to be here and it's just nice to be playing again.
“We have a lot of games in hand, and if we can win those games the table will look very different."
Warburton wants Swans improvement
Mark Warburton admits Queens Park Rangers must significantly improve upon their performance against Coventry City when they host Swansea City on Tuesday night.
Albert Adomah's late header earned the Hoops all three points at the CBS Arena on Saturday after Jordan Shipley had cancelled out Andre Gray's early opener.
However, goalkeeper David Marshall had to pull off a string of fine saves to help QPR leave Coventry with what was their fifth win on the bounce in all competitions.
And Warburton says he expects the Swans to cause his side problems at The Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium tomorrow night.
"My son gets bored of me saying the same things but it's one game at a time, our focus now has to be Swansea who will move it well and cause us problems, but we have to deliver a better performance in front of our fans," he said.
"We lacked energy and intensity about our play today. You can talk all you like about formations and tactics, but the simple fact is we lost too many duels and didn't get tight to our opponent, but take nothing away from the players, they found a way.
"The players deserve a lot of credit but let's be honest, we've been on the other end of that, played outstandingly well and come away with nothing."
Kick-off in west London is at 7:45pm on Tuesday.
