Swansea City noon transfer headlines as Leeds United field Drameh loan offers, starlet to leave today and second bid for striker imminent

This is your Swansea City noon update on transfer deadline day.

Leeds field Drameh loan offers

Leeds United are fielding loan offers for full-back Cody Drameh.

Swansea head coach Russell Martin is an admirer of the defender, who spent the second half of last season on loan with Cardiff City.

His path to the first team at Elland Road currently looks crowded, and the 22-year-old could now leave the Whites on a temporary deal, until January at least.

Swansea are in desperate need for a right wingback, although Armstrong Oko-Flex, signed from West Ham on loan this week, could in theory operate there. You can read the latest transfer deadline day news here.

Midfielder to leave today

Swansea midfielder Dan Williams is set to join The New Saints today on loan for the season.

Williams made his breakthrough to the Swansea first team last summer, featuring - and scoring - in their early Carabao Cup games under Russell Martin.

He was subsequently loaned out for Irish side Dundalk last term, where he made nine appearances before injury curtailed his stay at the League of Ireland Premier Division outfit.

He will now head to the Cymru Premier and the Saints under the stewardship of Anthony Limbrick.

Swansea will hope Williams has a similar experience with the club as Ben Cabango did earlier in his career.

Second Oba bid imminent

Our colleagues at LancsLive expect Burnley to return with an improved offer for Swansea striker Michael Obafemi.

Martin confirmed on Wednesday night that the club had rejected a bid for the Republic of Ireland forward, stating the offer was far too low for them to consider it.

“There has been a bid from a club yes - we have rejected it,” Swansea’s head coach said.

“[It is] nowhere near the valuation that the owners, Josh [Marsh, head of football operations], Julian [Winter, chief executive] and the football staff feel that Michael warrants.

“There is nothing in that at the minute because it is so far away from where we feel it needs to be. We want to keep every player we have got - we haven’t got a huge squad.”

The Clarets are expected to up their offer, though. "Swansea are seeking £10million-plus for Obafemi and Burnley are unwilling to match that valuation but there is encouragement that a structured deal could be done before the 11pm deadline," state reports from Lancashire.

Bennett, Ogbeta latest

As of time of publication, there has been no change in the situations of Ryan Bennett and Nathanael Ogbeta at Swansea.

Centre-back Bennett has been frozen out at the club and hasn't featured for Martin since the spring.

Reading showed interest in him earlier in the summer but a move never materialised. Swansea would like to get his wages off the books.

Ogbeta, meanwhile, is free to leave SA1 should a suitor be found.
