An Indian restaurant in Swalwell has won big at the Prestige Awards, picking up the prize for best Indian restaurant for the third year in a row.
Jashn restaurant on Wickham Bank, managed by Mohammed Muazzam, pride themselves on fine dining, and one of their most popular options is to celebrate a special occasion with a meal in the restaurant.
The nominations for these awards are made by a combination of customer votes and judges' scores.

As well as winning the accolade for the third year in a row, they have also won other industry awards such as the Curry Life award, and have even been to the House of Lords to be honoured for their services to the food industry in the North East.
The Prestige Awards are decided by judges coming to the restaurant and rating the food, as well as the dining experience. The judges were seriously impressed with the fine dining experience that Jashn delivered.
Mohammed has spoken about his pride at winning the award, as well as talking about what his future ambitions for the restaurant are.
"It is fantastic to win this award for the third year in the row, I couldn't be happier. Credit to my team for being so consistent over the last 10 years, and continuing to make it possible to win these awards.
"My next goal for us is to get into the good food guide. If we are able to do this it will be an amazing achievement but also fully deserved by the incredible team that we have here at Jashn Indian restaurant."
