‘Swagger lost’: The last person you’d expect to turn on Trump just did, and what he said is brutal

Owen Shroyer, a pardoned January 6 supporter and former Infowars host, said that President Donald Trump was “fading” and predicted a major political shift. He criticized the president’s recent address, calling it his “worst speech yet.” Shroyer received a pardon from President Trump for his role in the January 6, 2021, Capitol riots. His public criticism is a big sign of changing support within the president’s base.

According to Media Ite, Shroyer was shocked by the president’s behavior during the address. He said the usual confidence and energy were completely missing. “We’ve never seen Trump like that before,” he said in a video responding to the event. He felt the president seemed to be speed-reading, and the charisma and famous “swagger” were totally gone.

The former host noticed the president was “stuttering” and said his confidence was clearly fading. Shroyer stated, “Can’t lie through the reality anymore.” He said he had never heard the president sound so uncomfortable. He found the speech awkward and compared it to the “red lights” speech given by then-candidate Joe Biden at Freedom Hall.

The speech content raised serious questions about credibility

Beyond how it was delivered, the message itself was just as problematic. Shroyer criticized the content on social media on December 18, 2025. He said the president had to start by attacking President Biden because he clearly needed a “fall guy.” He pointed out that while the president talked about stopping political corruption, there have been “0 arrests.” He also felt the message sounded like an old campaign speech.

Shroyer noted, “He then speaks like its 2024 and we didn’t just win an election.” The former host also called out specific policy claims that he said could be “easily be disproven.” For example, the president claimed the administration only hires Americans while also confirming 120,000 H-1B visa workers this year. That kind of easy-to-check contradiction hurts credibility. The administration has faced similar criticism over Trump’s fentanyl rebranding as a weapon, which experts dismissed as impractical.

Shroyer believes the harsh reality of politics has finally caught up to President Trump. He thinks the president’s “ego damaged” because his base has clearly turned, and the polls he keeps dismissing as fake are actually “very real.” He said the past ten days have been the worst of the president’s second term.

He even challenged the president on the economy, stating, “No, the U.S. economy is not doing great.” He said you can’t tell Americans that the economy is great when they know they are struggling financially. The president seemed to be ignoring Americans’ actual financial reality. Meanwhile, the president has been focused on his mission to rename the NFL instead of addressing pressing concerns.

“The poll numbers dropping is very real and the longer this crap goes on, the worse it’s going to get,” Shroyer warned. He predicted that more people will leave the president and his administration. This doesn’t sound like the “storm that we wanted,” he said, telling people to “get ready for a whirlwind in the next three weeks.”
