Ex-England manager Sven-Goran Eriksson believes Cody Gakpo would be a good fit for the Premier League but insists he does not suit Manchester United.
Gakpo has attracted interest from a host of clubs across Europe after registering 13 goals and 17 assists in 24 appearances for PSV Eindhoven in all competitions this term.
Interest in the Dutchman has increased further as his three goals at the World Cup have helped propel the Netherlands to the knockout stages.
Newcastle are among a multitude of clubs that have been scouting the 23-year-old in Qatar, although Manchester United have been heavily linked with the attacker.

However, Eriksson has voiced his doubts over whether Gakpo is the right 'profile' for the Red Devils, and says they would be better off signing an 'out and out number nine'.
"Gakpo would be very good for the Premier League and I’m certain he wouldn’t need that much time to adapt to the Premier League," Eriksson revealed in an interview with Betway.
"The thing is that many clubs will have been watching him thirty or forty times. Ronaldo has gone now and Manchester United need an out and out number nine and Harry Kane seems the perfect fit.
"Kane could be impossible but they have to get something similar. Right now I don’t think Gakpo is the profile they need."
