Kolkata: In a visit that carried both spiritual and political significance, West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari on Thursday went to the ISKCON headquarters in Nadia district, where he performed 'gau puja' and interacted with monks, amid elaborate security arrangements.
Dressed in a traditional white dhoti-kurta, Adhikari walked barefoot to the ISKCON 'gaushala' (cow shelter) in the sprawling temple complex around 11.30 am, and offered prayers as part of a special 'gau seva' programme.
