Thailand's army chief on Thursday signalled his approval of suspended prime minister Prayuth Chan-ocha, himself a former army commander, as a court ponders Prayuth's future following an opposition challenge to his eligibility to remain in power.
The Constitutional Court on Wednesday suspended Prayuth, 68, from the top job pending a review of his constitutionally mandated eight-year term limit.
