A Columbia University student who was suspended after declaring that “Zionists don’t deserve to live” has filed a federal lawsuit against North Carolina Congresswoman Virginia Foxx, alleging that her actions violated his First Amendment rights.
Khymani James, 22, who emerged as a prominent figure during pro-Palestinian protests on the Ivy League campus in 2024, claimed in court filings that Foxx used her position as chair of the House Committee on Education and the Workforce to pressure Columbia into disciplining him.
