Suspected stolen toothbrushes and mouthwash found as Mini stopped in Nottinghamshire village

Police found toothbrushes and mouthwash among a pile of suspected stolen items after pulling over a Mini in a Nottinghamshire village. Officers stopped the driver of a silver Mini for driving with no insurance near Oldcotes, a village north of Worksop.

In a Facebook post, published on Thursday (November 10) evening, West Bassetlaw posted a photo of an array of cleaning and personal hygiene items that were found in the vehicle, including electric toothbrushes, mouthwash and dishwasher tablets. The force suspects them to be stolen.

"Whilst officers were conducting cross border patrols with South Yorkshire and Derbyshire Police, the driver of this Mini was stopped for driving with no insurance near Oldcotes," they stated. "The vehicle was seized and found to contain a number of items suspected to be stolen. Inquiries are ongoing to trace the rightful owner of the items and the driver can expect a visit from us shortly."
