Suspected hit-and-run in Sydney's north-west leaves man in critical condition

Police suspect a pedestrian was hit by a driver, who failed to stop to help, after an incident in Epping last night.  (ABC News)

Police are searching for the driver of a light blue or silver sedan after a man was allegedly struck in a suspected hit-and-run and left unconscious with serious injuries on a Sydney road on Monday night.

Detective inspector Jason Hogan said the 78-year-old man, who lived nearby, was crossing the road at Boronia Avenue, Epping, at about 7.45pm, before he was struck by a car.
