A suspect has been named after a 61-year-old man was stabbed at a pub on Saturday night.
Cheshire Police said Ciaran Wright, 29, of The Glen, Runcorn, is charged with Section 18 assault grievous bodily harm with intent, harassment in breach of a restraining order, possession of a knife in public, possession of a knife on educational premises, and threatening someone with a blade or sharply pointed article. Wright was arrested on Wednesday following an incident at The Windmill pub in Windmill Hill, Runcorn, on Saturday, February 25.
A police spokesman said officers were called at 11pm to reports a man had been assaulted inside the premises. Upon their arrival, they found a 61-year-old man from the area had suffered a stab wound to his torso.

He was taken to hospital with what were reported to be non-life-threatening injuries.
A search led to the arrest of Wright on Wednesday.
Officers also arrested a 27-year-old woman on suspicion of assisting an offender in relation to the incident, and she was later released on conditional bail.
