Ryan Routh, the suspect arrested in connection with the recent assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump in West Palm Beach, Florida, is currently being held at a federal prison in Miami, approximately 60 miles south of the incident location.
According to records obtained from the Federal Bureau of Prisons, Routh, aged 58, is detained at the Federal Detention Center (FDC) Miami, which is classified as an 'administrative security federal detention center.' The facility is designed to house a total of 973 inmates.
Routh has already been charged in federal court with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession of a firearm with an obliterated serial number. Authorities anticipate additional charges to be filed against him as the investigation progresses.
