The suspect has been named as Don Steven McDougal, who was known to the family and resided on their property.
McDougal was entrusted with dropping Audrey off at the bus stop on the day she went missing. He was already in custody for an unrelated assault charge and has a history of criminal offenses, according to the sheriff's office.
