Robert Jenner, 48, has been charged with attempted murder after a police officer was stabbed in Maidstone, Kent Police said.
A police constable in his 50s was airlifted to a London hospital with serious injuries after being stabbed – reportedly with a pair of scissors – at around 8pm on Thursday at an address in Albion Place, Maidstone.
The officer has been discharged from hospital and is recovering at home.
Jenner is due to appear at Medway Magistrates’ Court on Saturday.
