Susanna Reid has had her say on the claims Prince Harry has made about his brother Prince William, saying it's "so painful". The presenter made her comments on Good Morning Britain after the Duke of Sussex has reportedly claimed he was physically attacked by his brother over his marriage to Meghan Markle.
In a leaked extract of his highly anticipated autobiography, Spare, to The Guardian newspaper, Prince Harry alleged the confrontation took place at his London home in 2019 and had left him with a visible injury to his back after the now-Prince of Wales grabbed his brother by the collar and ripped his necklace before knocking him to the floor.
Harry further claimed William had called the American actress "difficult", "rude" and "abrasive" – comments which the younger brother said parroted "the press narrative" about his wife. According to The Guardian newspaper, the "extraordinary scene" is "one of many in Spare", Harry's memoir, which is due to be published on January 10.

Appearing back at the helm of GMB on Thursday (January 5), Susanna and co-host Ben Shephard discussed Harry's latest shock claims, which also comes before two separate interviews ahead of his books release - one on ITV and one on CBS News in America, both due to be broadcast on Sunday (January 8).
"This argument between them… there’s obviously so much bad blood," Susanna said before referring to Tom Bradby’s interview in which Prince Harry said he wants to his father and brother 'back'. "How can they come back together as a family after this?" she then asked before adding: "It’s so painful."
Ben then commented: "It might take a long time, hopefully at some point they will, because they are still brothers who have been through what they’ve been through as children, losing their mum like they did. And they are uncles to each other’s children, [which is] such an important thing."
"We’ve got the coronation this year of course," Susanna then pointed out. "Can he [Harry] be here for the coronation? It would be desperate if he’s not," she added. Later, Journalist Ayesha Hazarika and Lord Ed Vaizey joined the presenters to discuss the explosive allegations which were the biggest topic of conversation on the ITV news programme.
However, GMB viewers were 'sick' of it. @HarryDa02397997 tweeted: "Anyone else sick of the media circus about #HarryandMegan... Especially on channels like #GMB... This isn't news, it's boring, tedious and pointless. Do people actually care about any of this? Sad lives."
@lotslottie16 fumed: "I am sick to the back teeth of the news being full of #princeharry now. It’s getting ridiculous. The NHS is falling apart, people can’t pay their bills due to the cost of living, the country is in a mess #GMB." @Mantis156 posted: "Oh my god. They are talking about bloody Harry again. Is there no other news ? Turning off #GMB."
@guyrwalker1973 asked: "Please can you run a poll to actually see who is interested in #HarryandMeghan. I’m sick of it. Many families have problems. Far bigger issues than them at the moment. #GMB." @Htaylor4476 added: "#GMB I am neither Team Harry or Team William, but this is overkill. There are many more important things going on in the world which needs addressing."
