The Bangles singer Susanna Hoffs has said Prince “changed my life” by giving her band the song Manic Monday.

The 1986 song, written by the late Purple Rain singer, was a UK number two hit for the American pop rock band, made up of Hoffs, Vicki Peterson, Debbi Peterson, and Annette Zilinskas, with Prince’s own version being released in 2019 for his posthumous Originals album.
