The victim, Taran Kumar, was injured in a clash that reportedly began after a water balloon hit a Muslim woman, triggering a dispute between two families. The confrontation escalated into violence, leaving at least eight people injured. Kumar later succumbed to his injuries.
Police have so far arrested 14 individuals and apprehended two minors in connection with the alleged murder. The incident also led to communal tensions in the area, fueled by inflammatory social media posts and provocative speeches.
