Now, the Trump administration can employ the renewed version of the federal database to help states verify their voters' eligibility before the midterm election in November, thanks to the temporary lifting of the restrictions on the use of the database by the U.S. Supreme Court.
In question is the Department of Homeland Security's Systematic Alien Verification for Entitlements, or SAVE, database which was designed to assist federal agencies in verifying immigration and citizenship information for various benefits programs.
