Superstar singer closes popular Las Vegas Strip residency

Visitors to the Las Vegas Strip have many entertainment options to choose from, including several music residencies, celebrity chef restaurants, comedy shows, magicians and illusionists, and dozens of casinos – even a circus-themed casino, Circus Circus.

Music is a major part of the entertainment offerings on the Las Vegas Strip with some of the biggest performers in the business booking residencies.

Popular headliners taking the stage for music residencies in December include REO Speedwagon, Bruno Mars, 50 Cent, Duran Duran, and Janet Jackson.

Rolling into the new year in January and February, the residencies include Lionel Richie, the Eagles, John Fogerty, Santana, Styx, Tears For Fears, and Mariah Carey.

Many of these headliners will be wrapping up their residencies on the Strip when they finish these shows, including REO Speedwagon, 50 Cent, Duran Duran, Santana, Styx, Mariah Carey, Tears For Fears, Janet Jackson, and John Fogerty.  

Some of the biggest country stars in the industry are also performing residencies on the Strip.

Country star Shania Twain's residency at PH Live at Planet Hollywood continues in December and January, before ending on Feb. 8. 

Superstar Garth Brooks' residency resumes at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace with five more shows in December, four in February, and five more ending on March 9.

Country music superstar Carrie Underwood will perform the final six shows of her three-year "Reflection: The Las Vegas Residency" at the Resorts World Theatre at Resorts World Las Vegas, which are set for March 26, 28, and 29, April 9, 11, and 12, 2025.

Wynonna Judd ends Las Vegas Strip residency 

Finally, country legend Wynonna Judd wraps up her Greatest Hits Anniversary Tour in Apollo Global Management's  (APO)  Venetian Theater at the Venetian Resort Las Vegas with a final show on Dec. 14.

Wynonna last performed on the Strip with her mother Naomi on the Judds' nine-show residency "Girls Night Out" in October 2015 at the Venetian Theatre.

More Las Vegas:

The Judds stormed onto the country charts in 1984 with their first album "Why Not Me," which reached No. 1 on the Billboard U.S. Top Country Albums chart, along with No. 1 singles "Mama He's Crazy" and "Why Not Me."

When she revealed this short residency for Dec. 11, 13, and 14, Wynnona said she is celebrating both her 40th anniversary of performing and her greatest hits.

"Sometimes you just need to throw a big party for yourself!" Judd said in an Instagram post unveiling the residency. "This is a milestone year for me. Mom and I played our very first show in 1984, which means I’ve been performing for 40 years. That’s more than half of my life!

“The Greatest Hits in Las Vegas celebration is a chance for the fans and I to celebrate together. You all have been with me for so long and my hope is that everyone will get to hear their favorite song{s}. How many hits can we fit into one show? LET’S FIND OUT!!!!!!" she said.

Wynonna is a member of the Country Music Hall of Fame and is a five-time Grammy Award winner.
