Superstar Rajinikanth still in hospital, stable; To be discharged soon

Chennai: Megastar Rajinikanth, who has successfully undergone a non-surgical procedure, during which a stent was placed near his lower abdominal area, is stable and would be discharged soon, according to Apollo Hospitals.

The superstar is fine
Actor Rajinikanth was hospitalized on September 30 following the complaints of severe stomach ache. The actor continues to recuperate at the Chennai hospital. Sharing update on actor's health, his wife Latha said: "All is well."

PM Modi enquires superstar's health
Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke to Latha over the phone to enquire about the actor's health, Tamil Nadu State BJP unit chief K Annamalai said on his X account (formerly known as Twitter).

"Our Hon. PM Thiru @narendramodi avl spoke telephonically to Smt. Latha Rajinikanth avl today to inquire about the health of our Super Star Thiru @rajinikanth avl," Annamalai posted on X.

"Hon PM was informed about the well-being of Thiru Rajinikanth avl post-surgery & Hon PM wished him a speedy recovery," BJP leader further added.

Expected to be discharged soon
The hospital, in a health bulletin issued on Tuesday, said that Rajinikanth’s condition was stable, and should be in home in two days.

Actor Kamal Haasan and Tamil Nadu governor R N Ravi were among those who wished him a speedy recovery. 

On work front, the actor's much-awaited film 'Vettaiyan', will be released in theatres on October 10. (with Agency inputs)
