Las Vegas Strip casino brings back popular singer residency

Las Vegas Strip theaters have been busy lately updating their headliner residency schedules.

Huge rock band the Eagles in June signed on as the latest residency at the Sphere Entertainment's  (SPHR)  Sphere Las Vegas, opening Sept. 20 and performing four shows each month in September, October, November, December and January.

The band has not said whether it will add more shows after the final scheduled show on Jan. 25, 2025.

A couple of country superstars have signed up for new residencies as Wynonna Judd is back on the Strip in the Venetian Theatre at Apollo Global Management's  (APO)  Venetian Las Vegas for her Greatest Hits residency Dec. 11, 13 and 14, 2024.

Brad Paisley also returns at Wynn Resorts'  (WYNN)  Encore Theater at the Wynn Las Vegas for his five-show acoustic residency "One Man Six Strings" Oct. 18 and 19 and Dec. 6, 7 and 8.

Another huge country star, Carrie Underwood, has added six more shows to her "Reflection" residency at Resorts World Las Vegas. Those are scheduled for March 26, 28 and 29 and April 2, 4 and 5, 2025.

Underwood's 12 remaining shows on her "Reflection" residency this year are set for Aug. 14, 16, 17, 21, 23 and 24 and Oct. 16, 18, 19, 23, 25 and 26.

Legendary rock star Rod Stewart closed his "Hits" residency at Caesars Entertainment's  (CZR)  at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace on Aug. 7, but also unveiled his new "The Encore Shows" residency featuring 12 shows in March, May and June 2025 at the Colosseum.

Finally, superstar pop singer Mariah Carey isn't closing her "Celebration of Mimi" residency at Park MGM Las Vegas on Aug. 10, when her current run is set to end.

Carey can't get enough of her Las Vegas Strip fans, so she has extended her "Celebration of Mimi" residency for a second time at MGM Resorts International's  (MGM)  Dolby Live Theater at the Park MGM with eight more shows in 2025.

More Las Vegas:

The "Always Be My Baby" singer added shows for Jan. 31 and Feb. 1, 5, 7, 8, 12, 14 and 15, 2025. Tickets are currently on sale at Ticketmaster.com, ranging from about $55 for a high balcony seat to $945 in the third row of the floor at last check.

Carey originally opened her residency with eight shows on April 12 through April 27, but extended the engagement by eight more shows from July 26 through Aug. 10.

The "All I Want For Christmas Is You" singer's residency celebrates her "The Emancipation of Mimi" album that was released in April 2005 and featured her hit song "We Belong Together."

Carey previously performed Las Vegas Strip residencies with her "Mariah #1 to Infinity" show, which ran from May 2015 to July 2017 at Caesars Entertainment's  (CZR)  Colosseum at Caesars Palace. She returned to the Colosseum in July 2018 for her "The Butterfly Returns" residency, which ran until Feb. 29, 2020, just before Las Vegas shut down all hotel casinos because of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Carey is also hitting the road this year for another Christmas tour of 20 cities across the nation on her Mariah Carey's Christmas Time tour, beginning Nov. 9 in Highland, Calif., and wrapping up Dec. 17 in Brooklyn, N.Y., according to LiveNation.

Tickets go on sale to the general public on Aug. 9, local time at Ticketmaster.com or LiveNation.com.
