George at Asda
Asda has a huge range of swimwear available at George with more than 180 items on their website, from no-nonsense classic options to bright and colourful items sure to make a splash by the pool. A couple of standouts in the swimsuit section are a ‘rust printed’ bather with cross-over back detail for £12.50, and a ruffled swimsuit with a plunging neckline available in yellow, lilac or green for £16.
There are some fierce animal-print options available too, including snake print, leopard spots or a vivid orange zebra pattern available on a range of swimsuit styles from one-shoulder suits to halter neck bikinis. For those who prefer their swimming attire plain there are plenty of options for bikinis and bathing suits in eye-catching block colours.
One of George’s most unique items in the swimwear section is a bikini set with a pastel swirl print. With high leg bottoms and a bandeau bikini top priced at £8 each, the two-piece is sure to be a showstopper at the beach.
F&F Tesco
Tesco’s F&F range is available to shop online via the Next website, and the swimwear section has some stunning highlights. Bikinis come in a range of styles, from a rainbow-striped set to a blue floral two-piece with a vintage-style halter neck and high-waisted bottoms - both priced at £22 for the set.
There’s also a vintage vibe in the swimsuit section, which includes a dark blue polka-dot bather with a matching sewn-in belt buckle. But shoppers should keep their eyes peeled in Tesco stores for more stylish finds, as the F&F social media pages showcase several pieces that aren’t available for online order.
A couple of stand-out pieces snapped on Instagram are a £19 bright yellow ruffled bathing suit with one-shoulder detail and a bold tropical flower pattern, and red swimsuits with scalloped edges “designed with every body in mind”. Abbey Clancy has also been snapped modelling some of the classic staples from the F&F swimsuit range, including a black bathing suit and a white two-piece.
Tu Sainsbury’s
Tu at Sainsbury’s also delivers on the swimsuit front, leaving shoppers spoilt for choice with 60 products on their website featuring some unique designs. The most eye-catching pieces include a bold tropical-print swimsuit for £20, an £18 blue paisley print bather with built-in tummy control, and a colourful pink floral one-piece priced at £16.
The bikinis at Tu don’t disappoint either, with patterns to choose from including a summery turquoise swirl print at £17 for a two-piece set and a dazzling leopard-print number. The tropical and paisley designs are also available as bikinis.
The Tu range is also ideal for those looking for a throwback to the past in their choice of swimwear, with a selection of outfits with vintage styles and patterns. A stand-out is a £20 polka-dot swimsuit with a halter neck and skirt detail, while a selection of blue and white striped swimming attire gives off similar vintage beach postcard vibes.
