Supermarket shoppers split over drink version of infamous 00s sweet

Everyone remembers the day they would run to the sweetie shop to spend their pocket money whether it was a new sweet everyone was talking about or an old classic.

But one sweetie that is still going viral is Toxic Waste which many of us knows, truly lives up to its reputation of being 'hazardously sour candy'.

People around the world love trying it with thousands upon thousand of videos being made called the 'Toxic Waste Challenge'.

If you don't know what they are, each sweetie container is shaped like a drum of overflowing Toxic Waste and comes packed with an assortment of sour flavours. This includes Lemon, Watermelon, Black Cherry, Apple and Blue Raspberry.

But if the sweets weren't enough, now people will soon be able to get their hands on the drink version of them. It's unclear just how much the drinks will cost or who will stock them at this stage.

Teasing the new product online, the admin for Snack and Reviews shared it on Facebook's Food Finds UK group. They captioned the post: "Toxic Waste sour drinks coming to shops soon."

Taking to the comment section, many people had a mixed opinion when it came to the popular sweetie drink.

Tagging their Facebook friend one said: "I don’t know whether to scream in horror or excitement."

Another added: "I saw these earlier and I did not know whether I would drink them."

"These sound amazing." wrote a third.
