Supermarket's £3 Easter Sunday dinner turns heads as shoppers praise 'bargain deal'

A supermarket's Easter meal deal has only just launched but it's already turning heads.

Following the success of its frozen Christmas dinner, Heron Foods has launched an Easter version - and it's even cheaper. Priced at just £12, or £3 a head, shoppers get a stuffed chicken breast joint, some Birds Eye peas and a whole host of Aunt Bessie's goodies.

As well as the peas, there are four more sides included - roast potatoes, stuffing balls, carrot and swede mash, and honey glazed parsnips.

There's a sweet treat to finish too, with Aunt Bessie’s Jam Roly Poly and Smooth and Creamy Instant Custard. Not only that but there's a vegetarian alternative as well, with customers able to swap the chicken joint for Quorn Roast or Quorn Beef Roast.

Unsurprisingly shoppers are already raving about the deal after the company, owned by budget brand B&M, shared it online.

Shoppers have praised the deal, which works out at £3 a head (Heron Foods)

"What a great deal," said one. "This is a right bargain," said another. While a third clearly decided not to wait until Easter to sample the goods, adding: "Got mine yesterday and very nice was too."

Heron says it launched the deal to help those families wanting to celebrate Easter, but who may be on a strict budget.

Tony Dobbs, managing director of Heron Foods, said: "We’re delighted once again to be launching this fantastic value dinner dine-in deal for our customers for Easter Sunday.

"Our Easter Sunday dinner dine-in deal is fully branded, meaning you’ll get great quality food for a fantastic price. So many families across the country are feeling the effects of the cost of living crisis, so we’re hoping this deal will help those families enjoy their Easter weekend without worrying about the cost."

The deal launched in stores nationwide on March 27 and is subject to availability.
