Supercomputer predicts Arsenal Premier League title race verdict amid Man City race

The Premier League season will return to action on Boxing Day for the first games in six weeks after domestic football paused for the World Cup in Qatar. Club football has been put on hold for the past month to allow football's biggest stars to take to the grand stage in the Middle East but its return is upon us.

From Lionel Messi single-handedly dragging Argentina to the final, to England's quarter-final heartbreak against France, the World Cup has offered plenty. But the excitement surrounding the return of Premier League football has already begun following mid-season break friendlies.

Arsenal return to action on Boxing Day against West Ham United, looking to continue how they left off prior to the break. Mikel Arteta's side are top of the table after winning 12 of their 14 games, placing the club with a possible chance of lifting their first Premier League title since 2004.

However, the Gunners face the tough task of overcoming Pep Guardiola's Manchester City for the title. The pair are yet to meet this season and look set to go head-to-head with each other for the crown in May.

City sit five points behind Arsenal after suffering two league defeats this season. But with Kevin De Bruyne and Erling Haaland at their disposal, the reigning champions are expected to pick up their fifth Premier League title in six years.

And that stance is no different when it comes to BonusCodeBets' supercomputer, which has predicted that City will eventually overtake the Gunners at the top of the tree to retain their title. Using 'a range of informative outright odds markets to formulate what the final table will look like', the table has backed Arteta's side to secure Champions League football with a second-placed finish with Liverpool and Tottenham completing the top four.
