Super Bowl rematch 'leaked' by Jason and Travis Kelce's mom before schedule release

The mother of NFL duo Travis and Jason Kelce has appeared to ‘leak’ some of the 2023 regular season’s sche dule days before it’s officially announced.

Travis Kelce, tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs, and Jason Kelce, centre for the Philadelphia Eagles, faced off against each other in Super Bowl LVII in February. The Chiefs ran out 38-35 winners, and now it looks like there could be a rematch.

Donna Kelce, the mother of the duo, has appeared to leak some of the fixtures on her Facebook page, via NFL Schedule Update ’s Twitter account. In the post, Donna not only reveals that her two sons will meet each other in what would be a rematch of the Super Bowl, but also some of the international games, as well.

It was confirmed by the National Football League earlier this week that the full regular season schedule would be released on Thursday. Some games will be announced in the days before that, including the international matches in London and in Germany.

Some games ‘leaked’ by Donna Kelce involve the Chiefs, who will apparently meet the Chicago Bears twice in Germany. It’s been claimed that both games will be played in consecutive weeks in November, and will be staged at Frankfurt’s Deutsche Bank Park, home of Bundesliga team Eintracht Frankfurt.

Last year saw the first NFL regular season game to be played in Germany. The Seattle Seahawks faced Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Munich last November.

In a comment on her own post, Donna Kelce also said that there will be a rematch between her two sons. It’s been claimed that the Chiefs will welcome the Eagles to Arrowhead Stadium on Week Two of the regular season.

NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell was locked in talks with officials in recent days to finalise the schedule for the regular season. While the full schedule will be released on Thursday at 8pm ET (Friday 1am BST), there will be some matches announced earlier in the days beforehand.

The international games for London and Germany will be officially announced on Wednesday, May 10, via the NFL Network and ESPN. These games usually take place in October and November, with the exact dates still yet to be confirmed.

There will also be Black Friday games officially announced for the first time in NFL history. They will be released on Wednesday, while other selected games will also be announced on the same day and before the full schedule on Thursday.
