The Sunshine Pictures IPO opened for subscription on Tuesday, giving investors a fresh opportunity to participate in the company’s public issue. The IPO is reportedly commanding a 20% premium in the grey market, signalling strong investor interest and raising expectations of a positive listing gain.
The Rs 282.14 crore IPO comprises a fresh issue of 48 lakh shares worth Rs 172.80 crore, along with an offer for sale (OFS) of 30 lakh shares aggregating to Rs 109.34 crore.
Investors can subscribe to the Sunshine Pictures IPO from August 18 to August 20, 2026. The share allotment is expected to be finalised on August 21, while the company is scheduled to debut on both the NSE and BSE on August 25, subject to the tentative timeline.
The IPO has fixed its price band at Rs 342–Rs 360 per share, with a lot size of 41 shares. At the upper end of the price band, retail investors will need to invest a minimum of Rs 14,760 for one lot. This makes the IPO an issue worth watching closely, particularly given the positive grey-market indications ahead of its opening.
GYR Capital Advisors Pvt. Ltd. is acting as the book-running lead manager for the issue, while Bigshare Services Pvt. Ltd. has been appointed as the registrar.
Sunshine Pictures IPO GMP today
The Sunshine Pictures IPO continues to attract attention in the grey market, with the latest GMP standing at Rs 73, or around 20%, over the upper price band of Rs 360 per share. Based on the current grey-market premium, the IPO’s estimated listing price is around Rs 433 per share, indicating a potential premium over the issue price if the grey-market trend holds until listing.
IPO objects of the issue
The primary objective of the Sunshine Pictures IPO is to strengthen the company’s working capital position. Of the Rs 112.50 crore in net proceeds, the company plans to deploy the entire amount towards meeting its working capital requirements. The infusion is expected to provide greater financial flexibility and support the company’s ongoing operations as well as future business needs.
A portion of the funds will also be available for general corporate purposes, giving Sunshine Pictures additional flexibility to manage routine expenses and pursue growth opportunities. Overall, the IPO is largely focused on strengthening the company’s financial base and ensuring adequate funds for its operational requirements.
Financial performance
Sunshine Pictures delivered a mixed performance in FY26, with profitability moving in the opposite direction to revenue. The company’s total income fell 28% to Rs 76.27 crore in FY26, compared with Rs 105.80 crore in FY25. Despite the decline in revenue, the company managed to increase its profit after tax (PAT) by 16% to Rs 40.02 crore, from Rs 34.46 crore in the previous financial year.
