Sunny spells, rain showers and risk of thunder as unsettled weather continues, according to forecasters

Unsettled weather continues in the North East with a risk of thunder, according to forecasters.

The Met Office says Monday is expected to start off sunny but showers will be scattered throughout the day with a risk of thunder.

It will be cooler than recent days with a maximum temperature of 12 °C.
