Sunderland supporters are convinced their transfer business is not over after Joe Anderson arrived from Everton. An early announcement on deadline day has fans suspecting more deals are on the horizon before last orders at 11pm.
The Black Cats got off to a flyer by confirming Anderson’s addition on a three-and-a-half-year deal. A centre-back, he is yet to make a senior appearance and joins Sunderland eager for first-team football.
An undisclosed fee was welcomed by supporters but there is a hunger for more. Anderson’s former teammate, Ellis Simms, is also linked with a move from Everton.

The striker spent the first half of the season on loan at the Stadium of Light and recorded an impressive goal return. Seven from 13 starts helped the Black Cats remain in the Championship play-off race.
However, the Toffees recalled him on New Year’s Eve - leaving Sunderland short. A season-ending injury to Ross Stewart means the Black Cats are desperate for attacking reinforcements.
While fans were happy to see Anderson make the move to Wearside, they are hoping more incomings arrive from Goodison Park. This is how the Black Cats’ faithful reacted on social media.
