Deadline day signing Joe Anderson sees Sunderland as a Premier League club in waiting - and he is determined to help the Black Cats return to the top flight. The defender completed his switch from Everton to Wearside this morning, signing a three-and-a-half year deal with the club holding the option of extending his stay by a further 12 months.
And the 21-year-old centre-back says it was '100 percent' the right move for him, and he cannot wait to get started. He said: "It's a massive club. I see them as a Premier League club - the fanbase, the stadium, even - when I was watching the game at Fulham - the away support they have, the game against Middlesbrough when you could feel the atmosphere through the TV!
"It gives you goosebumps. To get to the Stadium of Light and see it in person, I just can't wait for it to happen The minute I heard they were interested, I just knew it was the right club.
