Sunderland conceded a last-gasp penalty as they were held to a draw by Hull City in a thrilling game at the Stadium of Light. The Black Cats twice came from behind to lead against the Tigers, but could not hold on.
Ozan Tufan had put Hull in front early on, before quickfire goals from Joe Gelhardt and Amad turned things around midway through the first half. Allahyar levelled things up almost immediately, and Hull went back in front midway through the second half through Regan Slater.
But Amad scored from the penalty spot after Jack Clarke had been fouled, and then Clarke himself put Sunderland 4-3 ahead. Yet in the 96th minute, a foul by sub Pierre Ekwah on Slater gave Hull a penalty, and Tufan converted with literally the last kick of the game.
