Alex Neil hasn't confirmed whether or not he's in talks with Sunderland over becoming Black Cats boss - but he's not ruled it out either.
The former Hamilton Accies and Norwich City boss has been without a management job since leaving Preston North End last year.
He's since featured in media roles and took up a role at Crewe earlier in the campaign.
Sunderland are looking for a new boss after sacking Lee Johnson and plenty of names have been linked to the role - including Roy Keane and Neil.
The 40-year-old managed Hamilton for two years before leaving in 2015, earning the club promotion to the Scottish Premiership, where they remained until last year after relegation to Championship football.
Keeping coy on the Sunderland links, Neil told Sky Sports: "I am not quite sure. They are going through their process.
"Your name gets banded about with a lot of jobs from time to time. Things should become clearer over the next few days."
