A couple from Wearside both lost their lives following a car crash on the A66 in Cumbria last month.
Police were called to the three-vehicle crash near Warcrop at 12.13pm on Monday, May 23. The crash involved a Volkswagen Golf, Volkswagen T Cross and a HGV.

Christine Goodings, 61, was pronounced dead at the scene, LancsLive reports. It has since been confirmed that her husband Steven Goodings, 60, died in hospital more than three weeks later on June 16.
The couple, who ChronicleLive understands are from Sunderland, were travelling in the Volkswagen Golf when they were fatally injured.
The driver of the T Cross, a woman in her 50s, was in hospital but has since been discharged. Two further people suffered minor injuries.
