Sun shines on Floriade despite dark clouds of traffic disruptions and union threats

The weather rather than union threats or the traffic schmozzle on Commonwealth Avenue would determine visitor numbers this year to Floriade, according to Chief Minister Andrew Barr.

An upbeat Mr Barr launched Floriade 2026 on a perfect Canberra spring day on Friday, with the festival of flowers opening in Commonwealth Park on Saturday, September 12 and continuing until October 11.
