Pharma major Sun Pharma on Friday reported a 27% year-on-year (YoY) increase in net profit to Rs 2,895 crore for the June-ended quarter, compared with Rs 2,279 crore in the same period last year. Revenue from operations rose 10.5% YoY to Rs 15,300 crore during the reporting period.
The profit growth was driven by strong performance in India and its global innovative medicines business, even as US formulations sales declined. EBITDA stood at Rs 4,418 crore, up 3% from a year earlier, while the EBITDA margin came in at 28.9%.
