Summer Game Fest Live 2026 time and how to watch as rumors swirl of Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 3 and a new Resident Evil remake taking part

Final Fantasy 7 Remake.

After PlayStation State of Play earlier this week, it's almost time for the main event of Summer Game Fest season... Summer Game Fest. Here's how to watch the show, when it's taking place, and what the rumors suggest we could see.

Geoff Keighley's yearly event is the big multiplatform showcase for the season, with publishers from all over the industry joining in to announce details about upcoming projects. And while it's rare, there is a chance to see Xbox and Sony show up at these events alongside their usual June showcases.

In recent years, Capcom has reserved its biggest announcements for the Keighley shows, and a Resident Evil: Code Veronica remake and Street Fighter 6 Season 4 featuring Tifa from Final Fantasy 7 are rumored to be shown during this year's event. And, while we got a release date for Onimusha: Way of the Sword earlier this week at State of Play, the Resident Evil Requiem DLC and updates on Mega Man: Dual Override were still nowhere to be seen, so perhaps there's a chance we could see those there.

Another big expectation going into the show is that we might finally see Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 3 get announced. The developers have been teasing that we're getting closer to hearing more about it, and Rebirth was announced at the 2023 Summer Game Fest. Plus Nate the Hate – who has made a big name for himself with leaks as of late, recently leaking the new Star Fox game – says he expects to see it there, too.

As for what's confirmed, the hype trailer for the show features Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced, while the Summer Game Fest Twitter account confirmed Star Wars Zero Company will be shown, even if the release date leaked shortly after. Not to mention, something suspicious will be shown.

How to watch Summer Game Fest

Summer Game Fest will air live on Friday, June 6 at 2pm PT / 5pm ET / 10pm BST. In previous years, the Summer Game Fest shows have lasted around two hours, so we expect it'll be the same this year.
