All eyes are on Suki Waterhouse since she's been added to the Taylor Swift Eras Tour roster as an opening act for a London show. We like to keep an eye on the singer beyond the stage, as her interiors have proven to be incredibly trend-forward and inspiring.
We recently spoke to Waterhouse's interior designer, Izzy Hamilton-Fairley of IHF Interiors, who is responsible for decorating her eclectic London flat. One of the key pieces that stood out when we chatted with her was an impossible-to-miss, cow print armchair in her living room.
'We'd find a pair of armchairs, for example, that Suki would love, the cow print ones,' Hamilton-Fairley tells us. 'Then we would put that into the scheming and we'd say, 'Ok now what do we need? What colors should we bring in?'
Although the flat was completed a couple years ago, the chairs are proof that animal print prevails. Using Hamilton-Fairley's tactic of building around a bold, statement piece ensures that it toes the line between trendy and timeless.
The look is emerging as a huge interior design trend for 2025. 'Animal print has staged a major comeback in recent years, gracing fashion runways and interior design magazines alike,' says designer Nina Lichtenstein. 'This resurgence is a testament to its enduring charm and versatility. Designers are increasingly incorporating animal print into their collections, presenting fresh interpretations that blend seamlessly with modern decor.'
A current trend that animal print taps into is the urban jungle style, which, as its name suggests, favors colors, patterns, and textures reminiscent of a leafy oasis.
'Think reds, pinks, yellows, and greens to inject fun into any space,' says Johanna Constantinou, trends expert at Tapi. 'Homes are becoming greener, and the premise of this trend is to be loud and daring. However, if you prefer a minimalist approach, you can go for alternatives such as animal wall prints.'
As far as tips for styling around animal print accessories go, experts suggest allowing the statement piece to be exactly that, and avoid clashing patterns too much.
'An animal print sofa is a bold statement piece that can anchor your living room,' Lichtenstein says. 'To style around it effectively, keep the rest of the decor relatively subdued. Opt for solid-colored rugs, curtains, and wall paint to create a harmonious backdrop that doesn't compete with the sofa.'
We can see that Waterhouse (with the help of Hamilton-Fairley) has opted for this approach by coordinating the chair's wooden arms to an wooden, open-plan bookshelf, which features small pops of color within it.

Want to recreate the look? We have found a dupe for the living room chair, along with a bookshelf and accessory that would look fantastic in any common area.
Ultra-Soft
Make a statement with this cow print armchair, combining soft brown and white fabric with wood arms and legs.
Pop of Red
A cult-favorite for a reason, this candle smells as good as it looks.
Modern Design
Minimal and modern, this open bookshelf unit leaves lots of room for displaying items as decor.
We recommend utilizing Hamilton-Fairley's approach of sourcing a specific animal print item, then styling around it with mostly neutrals and some color. Alternatively, animal print accents, such as blankets or pillows, pack in just as much prowess with a bit less committment.
