Four men and one teenager have been charged following a number of arrests relating to disorder at Suites Hotel in February.
On Friday, February 10, a police van was set on fire and missiles were thrown at officers working at what started as a peaceful protest which turned violent at the Suites Hotel on Ribblers Lane. On Tuesday, May 23, police executed five warrants as part of what they describe as an "ongoing operation to prevent further incidents of disorder and crime".
Several people were arrested following the raids. Now, four men and a teenager have been charged on suspicion of violent disorder.

Paul Lafferty, 42, of Quarry Green, Northwood, John Tippler, 59, of St Kevin's Drive, Northwood, Christopher Shelley, 44, of Delfby Crescent, Southdene, and a 14-year-old boy from Kirkby were all charged with violent disorder. They have since been bailed and will appear at Liverpool Magistrates Court on Tuesday, June 20.
