Sugar prices rallied sharply on Monday, amid speculation that a super El Niño weather pattern will disrupt global sugar production. Sugar gains accelerated on Monday after weather forecasts called for rains in Brazil to intensify this week, potentially delaying the country’s sugar harvest further.
