Sugar Prices Slump on the Outlook for Larger Global Supplies

May NY world sugar #11 (SBK25) today is down -0.28 (-1.57%), and August London ICE white sugar #5 (SWQ25) is down -8.20 (-1.62%).

Sugar prices today are sliding, with NY sugar posting a 2-1/2 year nearest-futures low.  Higher Brazil sugar production is undercutting prices after Conab today raised its 2025/26 Brazil sugar production estimate to 45.9 MMT from a previous estimate of 44.1 MMT.
