Sugar Prices Slide as the Supply Situation Improves

July NY world sugar #11 (SBN24) on Friday closed down -0.20 (-1.09%), and Aug London ICE white sugar #5 (SWQ24) closed down -1.50 (-0.28%).

Sugar prices posted moderate losses on Friday but remained above Thursday's significant lows. NY sugar on Thursday fell to a 1-1/2 year nearest-futures low, and London sugar dropped to a 1-1/4 year low on the outlook for ample global sugar supplies.
